| Merrickville oraganised the area Cub camp. The theme was Boot Camp with a hundred Cubs participating. Activities all had a military theme: Semaphore, field gun race, dog tag engraving with rubber band gun target practice, infiltration, rescue under fire, sling shots, aerial runway, and obstacle course. It was amazing. The Cubs were all given identity discs at the beginning that split them into platoons for the day mixing up the packs. Ration pack lunches were made by each pack and each Cub was given a lunch made by a different pack. The Cubs ate in the field. At the camp closing the area presented plaques to the Cubs that had earned all seven award badges. |
